Uncertain Seas
DANA AL RASHID
I sail in uncertain seas
The moon is the only eye that sees
I sail in turbulent waves
Dissolving every path I pave
The night time is blind and unforgiving
The black sea swallows the living
The moon disk only mesmerizes
Sedates with promises and tranquilizes
My humble boat is small and broken
A tiny drop in God's great ocean
I sail in a sea of confusion
It's hard to separate truth from illusion
I swim in the sea of uncertainties
The path of water only deceives
Cursed is the one who hopes and believes
Nothing is permanent; everyone leaves
Into the abyss, my ship has sunken
Penetrated by serpents; I'm weary and drunken
