you can hear me laugh with the trees,
sitting on a leaf,
little air from this world.
i am not sure you do.
i know
the world’s been cruel to you too;
but there are plenty of trees
and plenty of leaves,
and how plentiful they are
beside me.
Basant Said is an Egyptian teen and spends her time reading, journaling, and connecting with life. Lately, she's been documenting the world and getting a colorful taste from all the tiny things around her. Like touching the leaves of trees as she passes by, eating ice cream in a very hot summer noon, or sitting in different spots on the bus.
