Unootha is an online magazine – but it’s anything you, the reader, want it to be, whether it be a diary or a safe community to turn to in times you desire comfort or just a bit of enlightenment.

The main objective of this magazine is to create a safe space for all Middle Eastern and North African women to freely express themselves in whatever form they wish to do so in, whether that be through videos, photography, writing and art. The point is, if you’ve got something you want to share, submit it!

Unootha means womanhood in arabic, which is what this magazine hopes to explore. The stigma against Arab women and their lack of representation is what this magazine targets and hopes to alter, and you can be a part of it, too.

This is a community meticulously constructed by Middle Eastern and North African women for the world to read, to enjoy and to learn from. Regardless of who you are, what you identify as or what you believe in, welcome home!
